When I'm not teaching I love to hang out with my little girl, Mimi.
She is a four and a half year old Shih Tzu and she is a diva!
I got in my Time Machine and traveled around the world this summer.
Here I am in London, England.
I also went to my hometown of Meteora, Greece.
I saw many famous paintings in London at the National Gallery. This is one of my favorites by Henri Rousseau, called, Tiger in a Tropical Storm.
I also love to ride my bike. I rode in the CicLAvia this year in West Los Angeles. My best friend is a biker and we got to ride on Venice Boulevard with no cars! Pretty fabulous!
My biggest passion in education is fostering a love of science and reading in my students. I also love plants and animals, and the garden outside my classroom is an incubator for many of the experiments we do. We have Science Thursday where we do an experiment a week. Science, Technology, Reading, Writing, and Math are an important part of my classroom.
To learn more about me and my teaching style, please take a look at the blog archive. It's a great gallery of pictures of what we did last year in 1st and 2nd grade. I look forward to working with each of my students and their families as I gear up for an exciting year of learning with my first and second graders.
Bon Voyage!
