We are studying the lifecycles of ladybugs and butterflies. Check out all the fun activities we did!
First we learned the life cycle of butterflies.
Next we observed our Cup of Caterpillars from Insect Lore. Did you know that butterflies go through a METAMORPHOSIS?
We used scientific tools like

Then we wrote and drew our observations about the caterpillars. We can also call the caterpillars, larva.
We also learned about the life cycles of plants like sunflowers!

Science Standards:
- Identify and describe the basic needs of living things in a terrestrial habitat.
- Students know different plants and animals inhabit different kinds of environments and have external features that help them thrive in different kinds of places.
- Students know animals eat plants or other animals for food and may also use plants or even other animals for shelter and nesting.
